November 11th, 2009 - Two new releases:
iwrotehaikusaboutcannibalisminyouryearbook LP (huel007) - Newly rescued from production hell...FINALLY the 12-song full-length LP from the now defunct iwrotehaikusaboutcannibalisminyouryearbook. This is seriously some of the most amazing, sloppy and soulful punk that I have ever heard and am truly thrilled and honored to be involved in the physical manifestation of it. I first saw this band a few years ago at a particularly hot Summer show in Berkeley at the long haul info shop and was completely floored by their sincere and passionate performance. Although this band was short lived the members went on to play in other notable bay area bands like ...Who Calls So Loud and Punch.
Unless - Letting go of what you never had 7" (huel010) - Another gem rescued from production hell...
Unless was an amazing band that was a staple of the Davis, CA hardcore scene (YSDHC). This band has a tremendous amount of recorded material out there, however they always chose to give away their music for free on CD-Rs so as a result they never had a proper release. About a year ago now the band recorded several new songs with Jack Shirley at the Atomic Garden. The plan was to finally put out a 7" and then tour on it, however playing shows became more difficult as the members were scattered throughout the bay area. For a while we weren't sure if this record was going to come out but there are some Unless shows being worked on for the near future so finally, here it is: a 4-song 7" of 90's style metallic hardcore (think Deadguy or Unbroken) featuring mem. of Punch and Loma Prieta (with me playing double bass for the first time!)
May 4, 2009 - San Francisco’s LOMA PRIETA return with a follow-up to 2008's "Last City." Never afraid to straddle genres, this album picks up where Last City left off and finds the band probing the outer limits of "post-hardcore." The album was recorded by Jack Shirley (Comadre), with additional recordings by the band, once again mixed by Jay Pellicci (31 Knots), and mastered by JJ Golden. 8 songs of blistering and beautiful hardcore. For fans of American Football and American Nightmare...200 preorder/tour copies on white vinyl and 400 on black vinyl.
Records are expected to ship by mid-May 2009
April 23, 2009 - The PUNCH LP is out NOW check the "Releases" page. Also, the new LOMA PRIETA 12" will be available for preorder very soon. It consists of 8 new songs of angular and chaotic broken-down punk rock. Check out a preview here: myspace.com/lomaprieta. Check out both bands on US and Japan tours! That's it for now, although stay tuned for a few more projects that will be coming out this Summer.

March 16 , 2009 -PUNCH s/t LP
San Francisco’s PUNCH return! This is about as good as it gets - insightful lyrics, blistering fastcore mixed with solid hardcore - with some heavy-ass breakdowns that will most definitely drop the hammers of justice. 16 songs of punishing hardcore done with heart. This IS Bay Area Hardcore. Split release with 625.
January 29, 2009 - Hey everyone, the UNLESS - letting go of what you never had 7" is finally going to press this week and I'll be taking pre-orders for it very soon. October 16, 2008 - I'm still really busy with school so I've been a little bit slow to respond to email. Bear with me, just 3 more years! Mailorder is alive and well though. I just moved to Oakland and in the process inadvertently lost most of my distro and the last 10 or so copies of the new Loma Prieta record. Good news though! Someone actually found the crate of records and emailed me. Sometimes I'm really surprised and thankful for the kindness of strangers. So as soon as I get those records back I'll have those back in the webstore. Also while moving, I found a lot of Loma Prieta shirts and a couple Discos Huelga shirts and those are for sale on my myspace.
PS, the Haikus LP is still coming out. I know I keep saying this but I'm serious. Also, Punch is writing a bunch of new songs for an LP that should be out early next year maybe via Discos Huelga and 625 again /rumor.
CURRENTLY LISTENING TO:
Skin Like Iron - 10"
Have Heart - Songs to Scream at the Sun

August 24, 2008 - Back from tour/s. Thank you to everyone that I met this Summer, I'll be posting a detailed list of nice people very soon. Crime Novels 12" is out NOW, check the releases page to order. I only have about 20 copies of the Loma Prieta "Last City" LP.
Iwrotehaikusaboutcanibalisminyouryearbook LP has not been abandoned and will come out this year, I swear.
Finally, I'm co-releasing w/ Inkblot Records a 7" from a band called Unless that I play drums in which will be out shortly.
PS, I'm back in school now so it may take me a while to respond to you by email. I'm sorry.
CURRENTLY LISTENING TO:
Ceremony - Still Nothing Moves you
The Magnetic Fields - Distortion
Off Minor - Some Blood
May 1, 2008 - Thanks to everyone that came out to the PUNCH record release show last Friday at Gilman, we all really appreciate it. So of course the regular version of the PUNCH 7" is now available from the releases page and will soon be available through Ebullition. I have maybe 2 or 3 left on white which will go to the next couple of orders, but I can't guarantee anything. ALSO finally available is the Crime Novels 1-Sided 12". This record came out so good and is pressed in a one-time run of 300 on 180gram white vinyl. And finally, the LOMA PRIETA LP test presses have been approved and will be available on the European tour. The pressing info is: 100 clear, 100 black w/ tour cover, 400 on black. More updates soon, for now check out some of the great local shows that PUNCH, CRIME NOVELS, and LOMA PRIETA are playing in SF. The PUNCH tour dates as well as the LOMA PRIETA tour dates have been updated.

I don’t even know what to say about this record right now without sounding too cliché, but we are really really proud of this album. It’s been in production for more than a year now and in that time we have all gone through a lot personally and as a band. Without getting into it too much, this album is a departure from our old stuff I think and we are very happy with the way it turned out. Thanks to Matthew Izen, Jay Pellicci, Mike RokLok, Juustin Slaveunion, and Lars React With Protest for helping us finish the record. Please support these labels when the record comes out in May- the CD/LP packaging WILL be worth it.
April 04, 2008 - Today we finished mastering the Loma Prieta full length in LA with JJ Golden. There is a good chance the CD version (released by Slave Union) will be available at the May 9th show at the bike kitchen. The Punch and Crime Novels records will also be out later this month. The Punch preorders are running out, there are currently only 10 left.
March 29, 2008 - I’m taking preorders now for the Punch – Eyeless EP. Punch is a female-fronted San Francisco punk band playing fast and dirty hardcore in the vein of RAMBO, Mouthpiece, or Rorschach. Featuring former and current members of Doppleganger, Rosenbombs, Bullets In, and Loma Prieta. Split released with 625thrash. Preorders will ship in about two weeks!
March 20, 2008 -
Hi. Long time no update but we're back in full force with SIX new releases planned for this summer. Up first is the perpetually delayed, but finally on track HUEL06 5 song 12" entitled "No Fences" by New York's Crime Novels. Immediately after that, we should be getting back HUEL08 and HUEL09 the Punch 7" (split release with 625thrash) and the Loma Prieta "Last City" LP (split release with Rok Lok and React With Protest). There will be a limited record release version of the Punch 7" available on April 25 at their show at Gilman. The Loma Prieta LP will be available on May 17th in Europe and at the same time from Rok Lok in the US.Also this summer WILL also see the release of the "womb" LP by iwrotehaikusaboutcannibalisminyouryearbook. I know this has taken a while, but believe me when I say that this LP was well worth the wait. Also on the horizon is a split, bicoastal, bicurious vinyl record from Loma Prieta and L'Antietam (split released with Slave Union). And finally rounding out the summer releases will be the vinyl-only second full length from The New Trust - Santa Rosa indie rockers, lovingly described as the co-ed Malady. The album is called "Get Vulnerable" and is 8 songs of brooding, dark, mid-tempo indiepunk. Please check the dates section for Loma Prieta and Punch tours this summer
